The Army's "Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center" known as ARDEC in Picatinny, NJ will be delivering a powerful message to our conference atendees. Entitled "Science & Technology Innovation Enterprise Model" the presentation will describe how and why this major user of high technology is embracing "public-private" partnerships. The National Nanotechnology Manufacturing Center is one such partnership expected to deliver nanotechnology enabled solutions to their challenges. NNMC has also formed the Nano Valley Consortium, based on the model ARDEC has developed. An introduction to the consortium follows the ARDEC presentation.
The consortium will promote collaboration between organizations from across the spectrum and create technology teams to deliver on projects of a dual use nature. This concept will save money and time by having access to resources and knowledge which may otherwise be unavailable to a single company.
This presentation also assists in developing the criteria and scope of expected funding opportunities for early 2009. The consortium will be announcing a request for white paper proposals later this year in anticipation of the '09 funding. Attendees of the conference will have the advantage of having seen these presentations firsthand, asking clarrifing questions and most importantly, meeting the people already involved.
This is an excellent opportunity for companies already utilizing nanotechnology but is just as important to those looking for a competitive edge. Nanotechnology enabled materials and devices can provide increased value to your existing products or create new ones. By using the team approach to getting these developed, you gain a tremendous advantage.
This presentation has significant value to innovators, tech transfer offices, manufacturers and all aspects of the supply chain.
Attendees that find this a compelling reason to join us at the conference may want to take advantage of the
POSTER GALLERY an excellent opportunity to increase exposure to your company's core
competencies. We stress the importance of making the right contacts at this conference and give you ample opportunity to do so.
